Katie Cassidy is a licensed interior designer and professional member of American Society of Interior Design (ASID) and International Institute of Interior Design Association (IIDA). Katie received her BFA at Kean College, New Jersey, her BA in interior design at the International Institute of Interior Design, Washington DC, and her MSW at The University of Maryland. She has exhibited work at Circle One Gallery, Washington DC and VanderZee Gallery, Alexandria, VA. Katie is a member of the VanderZee Gallery Painters.
Katie incorporates her trained and instinctual sense of color and the manipulation of color, contrast, texture, line and movement to her paintings to arouse and ignite an emotional response that sets the mood for the interior space.
Katie has repotted herself from the practice of interior design. She now focuses on her painting creating artwork that enhances the interior space for corporate, commercial and residential collectors of fine art.
