Liz Wallen received her BBA from James Madison University in 1984 before working in the computer field. Her job, and then her young family, kept her fully occupied until 2004 when her painting hobby led her to enroll in a painting class at the Art League School. Since 2005, Liz has been a student of Rob Vander Zee at the Vander Zee School of Painting in Alexandria, Virginia. Her current focus is contemporary landscape painting but she is continually expanding her craft with available workshops. Liz’s passion from childhood has now come full circle, leading her to a wonderful journey of creativity and self-expression.
Liz has exhibited at the Vander Zee Studio Painters Show in September 2008, the Vander Zee Gallery Graduation Show, ColorScapes, in January 2009, and is currently participating in the Coldwell Banker Art 17 show for the Spring of 2009.
Liz maintains a studio in her home in Vienna, Virginia and is represented by the Vander Zee Gallery, Alexandria, VA.
