Retiring from his careers as a NASA scientist, congressional staffer and Washington lobbyist, Mr. Milder now devotes full time to his lifelong passion for drawing and painting.
He has studied at The Cleveland Institute of Art, the Fine Arts Department of Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio, and the Alexandria Art League. Most recently he has been working with Robert Vander Zee at the Vander Zee School in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
His most recent series of oil paintings reflects his strong interest in connecting the diverse forms abundant in cityscapes into organic compositions that are colorful and visually exciting.
Mr. Milder has exhibited in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. His paintings are in several private collections.
